Solution 6 succeeds where other corporate portals fail

Logo Solution 6SOLUTION 6’s Singleview document management and scanning system has been the subject of an independent white paper by the NSS Group, Europe’s foremost independent network and security testing facility. The Singleview software collects dispersed, relevant information from around an accounting or legal practice and presents it in a clear concise fashion on any PC via a web-browser.
According to Bob Walder, Director of the NSS Group,

“Singleview, a corporate portal for time-based professionals such as accountants and solicitors, succeeds where the majority of shrink-wrapped corporate portals fail. One of its biggest advantages, and probably the biggest assurance of its successful adoption, is that it is such a low-maintenance product. In many places, Singleview feeds off existing data which is always updated anyway (i.e. via the practice management systems), and so the portal is always current. Since it presents a unified view of existing data, together with a simplified model for adding and categorising new data, it requires almost no additional effort by anyone in order to keep it running on a day-to-day basis.

“Even more importantly, the process of managing the corporate intranet is no longer purely an IT function, instead being spread thinly across everyone in the practice. No longer is it necessary for someone to beg the Webmaster to convert that latest document on new tax legislation for Web publication—it can be done directly through Singleview.”

Solution 6 acquired the Singleview software earlier this year as a key part of the company’s product development strategy to provide web-based elements and connectivity across its product range.
The software integrates with the user’s Practice Management database, re-using existing client data and presenting the information in the form of an intranet. Its document scanning feature ensures that all inbound correspondence can be stored as electronic files meaning that client files can no longer be misplaced from the paper office filing system.
