Cimtech NewsAS THIS issue of IMAT goes to press we look forward to Cimtech’s next event, Electronic records management on 10 June. However, the last event of the summer before we take a welcome break from organising events, is our annual conference and exhibition, Document, content and data capture 2003. This has been an extremely popular event over the years we have been running it and it has become something of a milestone event within the industry. What we used to call recognition technology has, of course, has expanded to cover not only the technology itself but its applications and it no longer centres simply on documents. More importantly, businesses want to know just how it can benefit them and how automated capture processes can provide significant cost savings and efficiencies. If you haven’t already bought a copy of Cimtech’s Document content and records management guide and directory 2003 we still have copies. As in previous years, it has been very well received, both in print and on CD-ROM. Cimtech will be moving premises later this year. We’ll bring you further details in IM@T Online. At present our scheduled moving date is 1 September. We shall be moving to the Innovation Centre on the main campus of our parent body, the University of Hertfordshire, which is in Hatfield—about five miles down the road from where we are at present. However, for the present our address and contact details remain the same—see below. Cimtech Ltd, University of Hertfordshire, 45 Grosvenor Road, St Albans, Herts. AL1 3AW.
