Cimtech NewsCIMTECH is pleased to announce that the 2005 edition of its annual guide and directory will be known as Managing Information and Documents: the definitive guide. This change of title is the result of a new publishing arrangement in which Cimtech has teamed up with M-iD magazine (Managing Information and Documents) and trade association AIIM Europe. Cimtech will continue to be responsible for the core content of the publication, including an updated version of the product and services directory, while M-iD magazine and AIIM Europe will handle publishing and distribution. The print version of Managing Information and Documents: the definitive guide will be published in April 2005 and distributed free of charge to the 12,000+ readership of M-iD magazine as well as to Cimtech members and IMAT subscribers. It will be published in a broadly similar format to the current publication and will provide both prospective and existing users of the technology with a comprehensive mix of theory and practical guidance on all aspects of electronic document, records and content management. In addition to the printed publication, there will also be an online version of the product and services directory available in April 2005. This will be updated throughout the year to provide one of the most comprehensive and detailed sources of information on the offerings from over 400 suppliers. Access will be free and users will be able to search for specific categories of products and services. Any suppliers reading this should check with Cimtech immediately to ensure that we have the latest information on your products for inclusion in the 2005 directory. All entries are free. Cimtech welcomes this new era in the development of the guide and directory. From its modest beginnings in 1989 the publication has always endeavoured to provide a reliable and authoritative source of reference material for both users and suppliers. We believe that the new publishing arrangement will allow us to meet this objective more effectively and we look forward to the April 2005 with much anticipation.
