THERE'S STILL TIME TO BOOK on the last of this summer’s Cimtech courses. Electronic document and records management is on 12 July. Can you afford not to be up to speed on the importance of electronic document and records management? Are you contemplating installing EDRM? If so, then you’ll need to know about how to plan, cost-justify and implement such a system and that is exactly what this course covers. Cimtech’s managing director, Tony Hendley, and senior consultant, John Walsh, will be the principal speakers.

Cimtech Managing Info and Docs JUST A REMINDER that Cimtech’s annual guide and directory is now available under its new title, Managing information and documents: the definitive guide. Although this is the 16th edition of the publication it is also the first edition for Cimtech has joined forces with M-iD magazine (published by Infoconomy) and AIIM Europe in a new publishing venture. This collaboration will ensure that the guide reaches a much wider readership than previous editions for printed copies will be distributed free of charge to readers of M-iD and Cimtech publications. The guide can also be viewed free of charge online at www.doconsite.co.uk. However, it continues to be a comprehensive guide to electronic document, records and content management and a directory of products and services.

Chapters include reviewing the options for information and records management and collaborative working; preparing for electronic information and records management and collaborative working; designing and implementing a records management system; the business case; applications and case studies for EDM, EDRM and ECM solutions and charting the latest trends in the market. This are details of forthcoming events and a list of assocations and publications. The directory of products and services covers electronic document, content, web content, records and knowledge management systems.
