Verity introduces the first BPM solution......with in-process enterprise-class search
Adding to its strengths in paper and electronic content capture and a robust open architecture approach to BPM, Verity® LiquidOffice™ version 4.0 is claimed to be the only BPM solution with the built-in capability to search, evaluate and monitor in-process content and other information. It allows content to be found at the right step and time in a business process so better decisions can be made in a more complete context, more quickly. This means the delay to get to crucial information until a business process has run its course and is placed in a data repository is eliminated completely. “Visibility into the content and processes has typically been a backward-looking exercise,” says Nathaniel Palmer, chief analyst of Delphi Group, a Perot Systems company. “Verity LiquidOffice provides forward-looking visibility into real-time data and in-flight processes, allowing decisions and analysis to be made on current context, and avoiding the traditional time-lag associated with process performance data.” Companies in virtually every industry, including those in the Global 2000 and public sector organisations, rely on Verity LiquidOffice to accelerate revenue and profit, ensure compliance and connect their global workforce with information and processes. Verity LiquidOffice is said to be the only BPM solution that seamlessly integrates content, process and people in an adaptive, rapidly deployable environment. The product encompasses all stages of the business process lifecycle with an intuitive design and modeling environment, vigorous process orchestration, comprehensive reporting and analytics capabilities, and open, standards-based support for human and machine interfaces. As a result of Verity’s acquisition of Dralasoft, provider of the OEM process engine that was embedded in version 3.0 of LiquidOffice, the new release exploits the engine’s capabilities more fully. In addition, Verity LiquidOffice version 4.0 has a completely scalable and redundant core architecture, enterprise-strength security as well as extensive audit tracking functionality and end-user enhancements that deliver greater value to the processes that drive organisations of any size and complexity. “The introduction of Verity LiquidOffice version 4.0 redefines BPM. It expands BPM from a way to manage a process within a business to a way to manage that business more effectively,” says Spencer Young, Verity’s UK general manager. “The instant insight to be gained through the integration of enterprise-class search with highly flexible and scalable process management software is invaluable. Unexpected opportunities and challenges, even trends can be identified and acted upon much earlier than ever before using Verity LiquidOffice.”
Control and compliance “BPM infrastructure enables a business to make use of information resources across the enterprise to meet mission and time critical business objectives. Verity LiquidOffice facilitates business growth by providing the tools a business needs to accelerate its processes, manage change, and maintain compliance to a model based on established best practices. Investment in a well-planned BPM system provides quick return, and immense potential for long-term growth in any segment of the enterprise,” says Roscoe Shelton, senior business processor developer at AccuImage, LLC, a certified Verity reseller OneSource partner. For users of Verity K2 Enterprise advanced search software, their investment in that technology is extended to include search, classification, recommendation, monitoring and alerting capabilities to in-process content on a LiquidOffice server.
For example, the new HTML electronic signature validation helps organisations comply with standards for electronic records and the authentication of signatures on HTML forms. Further, users can be assigned different permission rights at each stage of a process, such as being allowed to view only certain in-process form-based content. Verity LiquidOffice also includes several new features that optimise designer productivity and accelerate deployment of processes. The Form Designer feature supports Unicode character sets that extend the reach of business process internationally. The Verity BPM solution is the only one that is form format agnostic, supporting both paper forms and all of the digital forms found in the enterprise such as HTML, PDF, InfoPath, paper and TabletPC. Users can participate in the same process transparently, using the format that makes the most sense for them and their environment. Verity LiquidOffice version 4.0 is the first BPM solution to result from the company’s acquisition of Cardiff Software and Dralasoft. It demonstrates Verity’s commitment to deliver on the promise of the blending of these organisations and technologies. It is currently available from Verity and its global network of sales partners.
