THE TWO-DAY exhibition Documation UK took place at Olympia, London, last month. Cimtech had a stand there which provided us with an opportunity to renew old acquaintances as they dropped by our stand and gain some potential new leads and contacts for the future.
The exhibition ran in parallel with Storage Expo and visitors ‘commuted’ between the two shows. Both events were organised by the partnership of Reed Exhibitions and AIIM Europe and it is planned to hold the events annually in London in response to demands from the UK information management industry.
The alliance combines AIIM ’s Conference & Expo in Europe and Reed’s Documation UK and combines the strengths of both. If this year’s attendance and ‘buzz’ was anything to go by, there is much potential for the future. The combination of Reed’s show management and AIIM’s industry knowledge to enhance the educational programme, looks like laying down the foundations for future success.
Cimtech’s stand was manned by Tony Hendley, Cimtech’s Managing Director; Roger Broadhurst, Consultant, and Anne Grimshaw, editor of Cimtech’s journal Information Management & Technology (IMAT) . As mentioned in the Editorial of October’s IMAT and IM@T.Online, Anne is retiring at the end of November and hence this was her last time manning an exhibition stand for Cimtech.
Cimtech’s last course of this year, Electronic document and records management, is on 5 December. The course is subtitled Successfully planning, cost-justifying and implementing a corporate electronic document and records management solution. Speakers are Cimtech’s Managing Director, Tony Hendley, and Senior Consultant, John Walsh.
As usual, it will be held at the Fielder Centre, Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Click here for details of the day’s programme.
