RedDot in red rose county Open Text Corporation has announced that the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has selected web content management software from RedDot to deliver personalised web experiences to visitors. The University has selected RedDot’s CMS and LiveServer to re-develop its website www.uclan.ac.uk to offer tailored content to visitors. Students will be able to access content about social and sporting clubs, resources, campus, course details and student life in a more personalised way as content is tailored to their individual interests and requirements.
Cambridge journals added to ProQuest Ann Arbor, Michigan-based ProQuest has signed an agreement with Cambridge University Press to offer more than 200 Cambridge Journals titles in selected ProQuest platform products. The arrangement makes an even greater number of scholarly full-text articles available to subscribers of ProQuest’s aggregated journal products. Suite success EMC Corporation has announced that it has been positioned as a leader in the Forrester Wave: Business Process Management for Document Processes, Q3 2007 by Forrester Research with its Documentum Process Suite. The Process Suite marked the integration of software gained from EMC's June 2006 acquisition of Proactivity Inc., with EMC's existing Documentum BPM capabilities. Read full press release.
Hewlett-Packard certifies DocuWare 5.1 DocuWare has announced that HP has certified the integration of its storage management solution, HP StorageWorks File System Extender, in DocuWare 5.1. This integrated solution manages automatic storage in central storage systems. Read full press release.
British Library goes Web 2.0 The UK national library’s multi-award-winning annual report returns this year in a radically altered format. The British Library Annual Report 2006-07 uses online technology to present a rich and varied experience light years away from the traditional print brochure. The report features video presentations by the Chairman and Chief Executive, webcams of the year’s achievements from the Library’s Directors and animated charts showing how the Library has measured up against its targets. At the heart of the new style Annual Report is a suite of nine video case studies of people who have used the Library’s collections and services in the past 12 months.
