The University of Cambridge’s Sidney Sussex College has chosen to deploy Perceptive Software's ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software to streamline its student administration and accounting processes. ImageNow will improve the efficiency of the college’s student administration processes as tutors will no longer need to visit a central office to view paper copies of new students’ details. Instead they will be able to access all files electronically at their desks.
Homeserve selects Version One's DbArchive Homeserve, a provider of emergency call out and insured repair solutions for businesses and homeowners has selected Version One's DbArchive solution to streamline its purchase-to-pay (P2P) processes. DbArchive, which is tightly integrated into Homeserve’s Oracle Financials ERP system, electronically stores purchase invoices and supplier forms and enables the quick retrieval of these documents via Oracle or by using Version One’s web browser. Homeserve is expanding the use of Version One’s imaging technology to incorporate other finance documents, such as claims management job sheets.
Meridio announces availability of Meridio 5.0 SR1 Meridio has announced the availability of Meridio 5.0 SR1. Meridio 5.0 SR1 updates Meridio based on inputs from early adopters of Meridio 5.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.
Meridio 5.0 SR1 enhancements for MOSS include improved fileplan navigation, enhanced upgrade process,Custom Meridio Storage Policy extensibility and rendition support for MOSS 2003 and 2007. Meridio 5.0 SR1 is a general release and immediately available.
Vedior France selects ITESOFT and Capgemini Vedior France Group has chosen to combine ITESOFT solutions and Capgemini expertise for automating its supplier invoice processing. The 100,000 supplier invoices received in paper format by Vedior France Group and its twelve companies will be captured, read, validated and integrated automatically into PeopleSoft Financials ERP using ITESOFT.FreeMind for Invoices and ITESOFT.Share business applications. ITESOFT is collaborating with its integration partner Capgemini on the project. A major player in the human resources sector, the Vedior France Group generated 3.137 billion euros in revenue in 2006. The company’s 4,200 full-time employees serve 60,000 client companies and manage 400,000 temporary contractors via a network of 900 agencies.
Local Government Classification Scheme Version 2.02 of the LGCS is now available from both the ESD website. Version 2.02 is a minor update, the main changes are around updating the LGCS IPSV (integrated public sector vocabulary) to be more consistent and ensure every class is mapped to at least one IPSV term.
Email Systems protects Law Society of Scotland The Law Society of Scotland, the governing body for Scottish solicitors has chosen to adopt Email Systems’ email management services in order to help protect its team of 140 from spam and viruses. Email systems’ service will work in tandem with the Law Society’s pre-existing software, to provide a belt-and-braces approach to the issues of spam and viruses. The employees benefit from the protection the system provides whilst being unaware and otherwise unaffected by its presence.
I.R.I.S. Group announces IRISCard 4 Claimed to be the smallest and fastest A6 colour business card reader on the market, IRISCard 4 is compact, light and USB powered. In this new version, both the scanner and the software have been renewed. The scanner is USB 2, 600 dpi colour and equipped with 2 buttons for an intuitive use. The software has been enhanced and there is a host of new features. The system will recognise business cards from 217 countries.
Shannon Development implements OnBase Hyland Software has announced that Shannon Development, Ireland’s only dedicated regional economic development company, has chosen to implement OnBase, Hyland’s suite of enterprise content management (ECM) software applications. Shannon Development will use OnBase to improve and automate its business processes. Shannon Development chose the OnBase ECM solution to enable the company to improve its document processing and automated document management procedures.
Butler Group reviews Meridio 5.0 Meridio has announced that analyst Butler Group has released a Technology Audit of Meridio 5.0.

VYRE Unify updated VYRE Ltd has announced the release of VYRE Unify version 4.3.1, an update to its enterprise class web platform.
The new feature release includes bulk editing, import module and AJAX functionality. VYRE Unify is a content management platform which enables the delivery of rich, personalised sites quickly and easily without relying on specialist programming expertise. Most notably, version 4.3.1 introduces a powerful new capability for handling bulk updates. Bulk editing has been a frequent request from clients, as they manage ever increasing volumes of content and seek to devolve the management burden from technical to non technical users.
