Optio Software has announced the availability of its new imaging solution, ProCentra ICD (intelligent document capture) featuring Fingerprint technology quickly learns and recognises the individual characteristics of various documents, such as invoices and purchase orders. Fingerprinting uniquely identifies specific data formats and logos so that once a document is scanned and fingerprinted similar formats are recognised on-the-fly.
RetrievalWare acquisition approved FAST Search & Transfer (FAST) has announced it has received approval from the US Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) regarding the acquisition of Convera Corporation’s RetrievalWare business. CFIUS clearance allows FAST to complete its acquisition of RetrievalWare, which supports a wide range of mission-critical programs at government agencies and commercial enterprises.

Based in Luxembourg, Clearstream is an International Central Securities Depository (ICSD) and a leading supplier of post-trading services (custody and settlement) for the financial industry.

Henkel reworks Web sites with RedDot Open Text Corporation has announced that Henkel, manufacturer of consumer brands and technologies, is now online at www.henkel.com, www.henkelna.com and www.henkel.de with a new, completely reworked Internet presence, using the RedDot Web content management solution from Open Text. Henkel's new Web sites offer visitors a fresh new look and access to the company and its brands. Over the next few months, Henkel plans to continue the transformation of fifty international Web sites.
Project documents SWORD Group have announce the availability of the Fusion Transmittals Manager application for their established Fusion solution, an web-based project document control tool for streamlining and de-risking capital projects. Fusion Transmittals Manager significantly lowers the cost and commercial risks associated with managing engineering and construction capital projects. Fusion operates on leading ECM platforms including Cimage, FileNET P8 and SharePoint 2007.

Winchester ECM Open Text Corporation has announced that Winchester City Council has started the installation of its Livelink ECM solution. Winchester has been using document imaging for a number of years, but identified the need to move to a corporate system that also included records management. The Council signed an agreement with Open Text reseller Hedra to provide it with a Livelink ECM – eDOCS R/KYV solution.
Ingres certified Ingres Corporation, an open-source information management product and services company,
has announced it has received certification from BEA for its BEA WebLogic Server (WLS). The WLS is a fully-featured, standards-based application server that is designed to provide the foundation on which enterprises can build reliable, scalable, and manageable applications. Ingres has been tested by BEA and can provide full transaction processing support including the important XA protocol essential for scalability in high volume transaction processing.
Guernsey plans electronic patient record Healthcare information systems specialist TrakHealth has been awarded the ten-year contract by the Health and Social Services Department in Guernsey for the supply of an integrated health and social services electronic record in support of comprehensive health and social care services to Guernsey and Alderney. This contract is an integral part of a major project designed to improve the way care is delivered whilst also yielding much improved health and social care information to support operational management, the quality of clinical services and the strategic planning of future health and social care delivery.
South Wales Police has had an information management system successfully completed on time and to budget by Atos Origin. The new system means that for the first time, South Wales Police can access information from multiple business areas from a single source, enabling them to respond to enquiries faster and more easily.
