Nuxeo launches cloud-based document management system
OPEN SOURCE ECM supplier Nuxeo has launched Nuxeo DM Cloud Edition, a fully-secure, software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering. Nuxeo DM Cloud Edition “addresses the needs of organisations that want to benefit from a established, ready-to-go ECM solution without the related IT constraints and costs”. Running on the Nuxeo Cloud Services infrastructure, Nuxeo Document Management Cloud Edition offers a solution for organisations to start sharing, collaborating and managing documents, be it for project workgroups or company-wide initiatives.
Nuxeo DM Cloud Edition relies on the Nuxeo Cloud Services infrastructure, which enables any application based on Nuxeo’s platform to be run on the cloud and used as a service. Nuxeo Cloud Services leverages Amazon’s Web Services infrastructure and benefits from its proven and high-level resilience and security.
Nuxeo DM Cloud Edition has been designed to be as customisable, flexible and reliable as the platform itself. It is claimed to to be able to deliver the same level of results, and meets expectations for small companies or large organisations. Nuxeo partners can also leverage Nuxeo Cloud Services to distribute their Nuxeo-based applications as a service.
Pricing
Pricing is available on a user-pack basis starting at 10 users and going up to over 1,000. According the the Nuxeo website the starting price for 1-14 users is €400 per month (€3,600 per year) with 50GB of storage space. Full details on pricing are available at the Nuxeo website.
