Capita Randall Lyons wins Northern Counties Housing Association contract
CAPITA Randall Lyons, a Capita Software Services business, has won a five-year contract with Northern Counties Housing Association (NCHA) to supply a Swordfish Electronic Document Management, Workflow and Data capture system. The new system will be run in partnership with Formscan which provides OCR and business process solutions.
One of the main benefits to staff will be to have information at their fingertips without having to trawl through filing cabinets or in-trays. They will also have access to information via the web through Swordfish, enabling them to work from home.

The Swordfish system will improve operational efficiency and enhance service delivery to residents by simplifying the data capture and retrieval of information. It will streamline the current paper-driven processes within the Association’s Allocations and Finance departments into a fully audited and highly efficient electronic process. This will facilitate the processing of housing applications and invoices.
When completed applications are received they will be scanned and processed the day of receipt. If additional information is required, the application is automatically managed through to completion by presenting the Customer Services Team with a work item on their desktop, ensuring even the most complex case is supported through to the next stage. Purchase Invoices will be scanned and processed for payment upon receipt, providing a seamless end to end process.
The contract was awarded to Capita Randall Lyons following a competitive tendering process.
