End-to-end Enterprise Content Management (ECM) now available to medium-sized enterprises
The Content Group has announced the addition of EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender™ 5.2, a content management suite for fixed images, electronic files, reports and other business-related information, to its solutions portfolio. As one of eleven licensors of ApplicationXtender authorised by EMC in the UK, The Content Group will be offering ApplicationXtender to its clients in the construction and utility, manufacturing, distribution and travel and transport sectors, enabling them to achieve the benefits of a fully integrated end-to-end content management solution. The Content Group’s expertise in these sectors means that it is able to offer optimally effective solutions that provide efficiency and productivity gains through electronic workflows, reduction of paper and physical storage; and easier compliance with legislative requirements through the automation of business processes.
The Content Group also offers implementation and managed service facilities, which enables it to offer its clients optimal value and return from their investment with ApplicationXtender.
Commenting on this new relationship with EMC, Ben Richmond, Managing Director at The Content Group, says, “The multiplicity of technologies, from workflow to web content management, that comprise ECM are, today, being adopted to drive further cost from the business and enhance productivity. However, in the longer term, these technologies will also play a major role in enabling organisations to optimise the information and knowledge that is currently left unused in disparate forms of content across the business. EMC’s ApplicationXtender is a highly functional product that will help us to offer the full benefits of a true ECM solution to our medium and enterprise-sized clients.”
Debbie Casey, Managing Director of The Casey Group, who recently licensed ApplicationXtender from The Content Group explains, “The construction industry has been traditionally slower than other sectors at grasping new technology. However, we recognised the value that an end-to-end content management solution could provide. The Content Group offered us one complete solution that met all of our requirements. It has been very thorough and, with its experience in our industry sector, is able to implement the solution in such a way that we are not required to change the way we work for the sake of the technology.”
Commenting on EMC’s selection of The Content Group as reseller and systems integrator, David York EMC product and sales manager for EMEA, concludes, “EMC ApplicationXtender is primarily delivered through EMC’s Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and we have been looking for additional experienced businesses to license and implement our product in these highly specialised industries. The Content Group is well-placed to deliver end-to-end ECM solutions.”
